Queen of the Mountain 2009

Riders will walk their bikes across US 322 and race 5.0 miles to the summit.  The USGS map shows this to be a 1100 ft climb with no level or flat places.

Time trial is to top of summit only.

All proceeds for this event will benefit:
Habitat for Humanity of Clearfield County.
 

Date:  Sunday, October 10, 2010

Place:  Lawrence Township Fire Company #1, Mill Road, Clearfield, PA

Race Time:  12 Noon -- Riders will be given starting times in 30-sec intervals at registration. 

Registration Fee:  $20.00 non-refundable fee

Age guidelines:  All ages are welcome to participate.

ABOUT THE RACERegistration tables will be open from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM at the Lawrence Township Fire Company #1, Mill Road.  Riders must report to the registration tables to receive numbers and starting time.  All riders must be registered.  A registration form can be found in this brochure. 

RACE DESCRIPTIONVolunteers will be placed strategically along the route to assist riders.  Lawrence Township Fire Company #1 and Clearfield EMS Ambulance personnel will be available to assist riders in case of emergency.   

SAFETY:  Helmets must be worn by all riders.  There will be no exceptions!  If you meet a rider who is injured, you should determine the extent of the injury and decide if emergency medical attention is needed.  If the injury requires immediate attention, stay with the injured rider.  Send word to the nearest tour official or checkpoint with the next approaching rider. 

*ANSI OR SNELL helmets are required for all riders.
